In Memorandom: Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place

Garth Marenghi's Dark Place - Team Dark Place

Ever find a TV show that you just loved? Everything clicked and it just WORKED for you on every level? Ever find a show like that and then have some bastard cancel it after one season because TV bosses are fuckwits?

I do (in fact I have a few) but number 1 amongst them was undoubtedly, Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place. It was a mostly unknown Channel 4 show that was so funny my face almost fell off from laughing at it so much.

So in memorandom of this entirely fantastic show, I thought I’d link all of you fine, fine readers to the Garth Marenghi You Tube Channel and show you an entirely awesome clip from the show (WTF did he get that flame thrower???? LOL):

Have you have had one of your favourite shows cancelled after one year? Love this clip and will endeavour to watch the rest of the series FREE on Youtube? If so, let us know below!

This really was a total classic, cancelled due to crappy viewing figures I believe. Not suprising as it was on really late on a weekend night. Plus I think the premise of it spoofing those awful 1980 sci fi/horror drama series went way over the heads of many people who may have mistook it for the very type of show it was making fun of.

    I agree entirely.

I also thing it was doubly good, because it went along way to be purposefully bad, but then often came out with some really funny one liners and off comments too.

Dean Learner is the best character EVER! LOL
