Super 8 Interactive Trailer Extra with Portal 2 on the PC

Super 8 Interactive Trailer

It seems the boys over at Kotaku have stumbled onto something of a gem whilst playing the new Portal 2 game. Seems there’s an unlockable extra on there that works like an interactive trailer for the new JJ Abrams movie Super 8.

Super 8 is set to be released on 16th June of this year and the official website writes up the synopsis of the movie like this:

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined

All looks good, right?

Well, the extra uncovered by Kotaku, the interactive trailer, positions you as a passenger in the train that crashes in the first trailer and you proceed to walk through the wreckage. Check it out for yourself below:

Truth be told it’s kind of an inventive way to promote a movie – top marks for innovation for me. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments below!
