The Amazing Spider-Man Teaser Trailer WAS Leaked (update, I found a copy check it out!)…I watched it and here are my Impressions! (Spoilers inside)

Seems like the month of leaked cool superhero teaser trailers doesn’t it? Earlier in the week I shared with you the leaked Avengers teaser trailer that is to be shown after the Captain America: The First Avenger movie and of course the Dark Knight Rises teaser trailer which looks entirely awesome.

Well now it’s the Amazing Spider-Man’s turn and prepared for minor spoilers as this trailer reveals a lot about the plot. I watched it, but in the time it took to view, it was pulled and has been pulled elsewhere. But don’t worry, I have a few plot reveals and impressions from the trailer to share with you all!

So what is revealed about the plot? I hear you cry. Well, here’s the list:

• It seems as though Peter’s parents and what they did when he was a small child is somehow integral to the plot.
• It doesn’t appear as though the movie is centered around Peter at school, as he seems to meet Gwen Stachy in Curt Connors lab and she seemingly works there. The trailer makes it seem like it’s his first day on the job or an interview, but this could just as easy be a school trip (but I doubt it).
• Looks like Curt Connors (or other scientists in his lab) will be somehow responsible for the radioactive spider that bites Peter.

Overall paints the movie as a somewhat darker than the original Spider-Man movies and I think that can be a benefit, so long as they realise an integral part of the character is his one-liners and basically annoying his enemies into distraction. Also, the POV shots of Spider-Man doing his stuff across the rooftops of New York are to die for. I imagine on the big screen that will just be breath-taking.
