Yesterday, I shared with you my thoughts on the leaked Amazing Spider-Man trailer which I managed to watch before it was pulled from the various platforms it released to.
Now, another Amazing Spider-Man teaser trailer has been released and this time it’s in much better condition (no shaky camera now ladies and gentlemen) and I have it right here for you!
After watching the teaser, I realise subtle differences which indicate that this is an entirely different trailer, but the good news is, the spectacular (see what I did there?) POV shots of Spider-Man navigating his way across the New York skyline in the only way Spider-Man can are still included and in a much clearer shot, they are even more impressive.

I’ll have to reserve judgement until I see a full trailer. What was presented in that teaser is a little too dark and realistic for Spidey. The plot surrounding his parents? I’d rather that was left out. And the PoV shots look rather false. Glad to see the web shooters, but other than that? Not convinced yet…
Are they really rebooting the franchise and making a new origins story? Why can’t they just pick up as if spidey is known and continue with new villians? i am pretty skeptical about this but the preview looks ok. not sure what to think of andrew garfield, he could f this movie up bad, he has no charisma or humor and spidey needs to have that. was that sally field and martin sheen as aunt may and uncle ben? that could be good!
Don’t see the point in starting it all from scratch again… it isn’t like we only have the dreadful 1970s ones! I think it might well waste half of the film or more starting a new “origins” back story that most of the audience won’t actually need.
I honestly believe the remake will be the Spider-Man film the first one should have been.
