New Star Trek Series Could Happen After the Next Movie

Okay. There are no firm facts in this article regarding the potentiality of a Star Trek series however, Star Trek movie makers Bryan Fuller and Bryan Singer HAVE at least thought about it. So, what’s the deal? Check it out:

Star Trek has been off my TV screen for too damn long and I’m eager to see some form of the show set in the Star Trek universe. But will such a show be made? In a recent interview with EW regarding the forthcoming Hannibal TV adapation and the Star Trek sequel (due to be released May 17th 2013), Fuller said:

Bryan [Singer] and I are big fans of Trek and have discussed a take on what we would do, and we would love to do it. I don’t think anything is going to happen in any official capacity until after the next movie comes out. And I’m sure it would be wisely under J.J. Abrams’ purview of what happens. He’s the guardian of Trek right now.

Like I said, nothing concrete but at least now I have hope. I have hope that these gusy – who can make things happen might I add – are least entertaining the notion of another Star Trek TV show and if these guys do make the show? OMFG!
