Dark Knight Returns Gets It’s Batman – And that Man is…Robocop???

That’s right! The Dark Knight Returns, Warner Bros latest straight to DVD animation in the pipeline, has its Batman – and that man is…Robocop???

It has to be said, Warner Bros superhero animation movies are all pretty much top-notch stuff. I can’t really recall one of the animated movies I didn’t actually love and now they plan on making an animated movie out of one of the most infamous storyline’s of all time – The Dark Knight Rises!

Today they’ve announced just who will voice the elderly Batman: Peter Weller of Robocop fame! Awesomeo! The rest the cast includes Ariel Winter as Robin, Wade Williams as Harvey Dent/Two Face and Michael McKean as Dr Wolper. The movie will be split into two parts – the first set to be released this fall, with the next scheduled for some time next year.

What do you think? Will Peter Weller do a good elderly Batman voice? I think so. The man has a very distinctive voice which I feel can convey alot and will add that edge to really pull off the elderly Batman we all know and love from the Dark Knight Returns. What do you think?
