Despite Ray Bradbury’s sad passing on 5th June of this year, the documentary of his life “Live Forever, The Ray Bradbury Odyssey” in which he plotted and worked towards with writer-director Michael O’Kelly for the last three years and reportedly very passionate about the project despite his ill health. He was even quoted as saying “This film will be the fireworks at the end of my life.”
According to Variety, the documentary “chronicles the sci-fi scribe’s life, including his work with Hugh Hefner and Walt and Roy Disney, and explores his views on space, mankind and death.”
The documentary will be 90 minutes in length and Joe Mantegna (who’s production company will co-produce) will narrative the movie. “Live Forever” will also feature animation and special f/x by Christopher “Moonlight” Cooksey and includes Dennis Franz, Malcolm McDowell and explorer-film producer Jean-Michel Cousteau paying tribute to the great man.
The documentary will be extended into four one hour TV specials, with the producers looking to garner the attentions of The Discovery Channel and Science to air them.
