Sound beyond fucking awesome? Good. You’re in the right place.
The Avengers/Firefly Mash Up
For me, anything and everything Joss Whedon touches has turned to gold. I get his vibe, his style and his sensibilities. He leaves a very distinctive mark on any project he touches and althought it doesn’t compromise the integrity of the project, you can just know he’s involved.
Then what can possibly be more awesome than a video mash up of arguably two of his most awesome projects: Firefly and The Avengers?
Nothing. That’s what. Check out a Firefly-ified Avengers intro right here:
Incidentally, the full Marvel Universe DVD boxset is now available for pre-order on Blu-Ray containing The Avengers, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk and good number of other awesometastic features. It’s currently available for $152.99!
The Watch Full International Trailer
The Watch looks both intriguing and terrible all at the same time. On the one hand, I’d watch Richard Ayoade of the IT Crowd fame in absolutely anything, but on the other hand Ben Stiller hasn’t made a watchable movie since Tropic Thunder and Vaugh since The Wedding Crashers.
I also think, from the synopsis, the movie does have potential to a be a fun and mildly fun watch too:
Suburban dads who form a neighborhood watch group as a way to get out of their day-to-day family routines find themselves defending the Earth from an alien invasion.
The question is, will it? Take a look at the full international trailer and decide for yourselves.
The Watch will hit cinema’s on 27th July in the US and on 29th August in the UK.
Star Wars Scalextric

Scalextric is one of the oldest, best-known slot car makers out there. Their tracks and cars have supplied hobbyists with fodder for decades and their devotion to detail has made even the most meticulous modelmaker mirthful.
Over the years, the company has produced tie-ins to television and movies like Knight Rider, Tim Burton’s Batman, and the Dukes of Hazzard. But this fall, Scalextric is journeying much further – to a galaxy far, far away. Early this fall, the company will release two Star Wars sets, one that depicts the speeder bike chase on Endor and another that features an X-wing and Vader’s TIE/x1 fighter in a glow-in-the-dark attack on the Death Star.
The Endor set will retail for $149 and the Death Star set for $99. With Scalextric’s speed and detail, both sets should be a blast!
In the UK, both sets are already available on Amazon. The Micro Death Star set will be released 23rd July of this year for £69.99, whereas the Battle of Endor set will be available on 13th August of this year for £99.99
