To say John Carter receive mixed reviews is something of an understatement. A lot of people were disappointed with the movie and the box office takings proved it. With an initial outlay of some $250 million to fund the movie, Disney only received a mere $179 million in return which has lead some to believe that the studio will not look to shook any sequel’s despite the open ending of the film.
