Kurt Sutter Discusses How the Sons of Anarchy is destined to end!

New Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Promo Hits!

With the Fall TV schedule less than 2 months away, all the top TV shows are already gearing up their teasing campaign to keep us begging for more, but Son’s of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter takes a rather unconventional take on hypying his show – he discusses how Sons of Anarchy is destined to end.

In reference to the future of Sons of Anarchy, Sutter also says that Charlie Hunnan has the most job security on the show, “The show is the prince’s journey, so there is no show without Jax. My sense of where the show will end up definitely includes Jax, and perhaps Gemma (Katey Sagal) and Clay (Ron Perlman).”

Interesting angle to take, but it can come as no real surprise that the lead of the show will survive throughout the series. However, from a fans perspective I’d much rather have Ron Perlman in job security. For me, his powerful performance as Clay is one of the main attractions of the show in my opinion.

Talking about the how the show will eventually end, Sutter revealed, “The stakes get higher with each season, the circumstances get more dire, the wreckage gets deeper. And I think as a result of that things will change. I don’t quite know how that will all fall apart, but I know eventually it will.”

Okay, so it doesn’t provide specifics but I am pleased by the fact that Sutter has actually considered the ending and it’s not going to be one of those shows that ends without a conclusion (Soprano’s, grrrrrrrr!).

What do you think? Please let me know in the comments section below – it’d be awesome to hear your opinion on the matter.

Thanks for that completely useless article that told us nothing.

  2. admin says:

Sorry you didn’t like it doug! :-(

  3. Doug is right says:

..and Sopranos ended with the death of the main character. Unless you don’t like that ending then everyone lived happily ever after.

  4. admin says:

Awww come on! I’m not the only one disappointed by the ending of Soprano’s surely!

  5. Flip says:

I agree with Doug. This is just mentioning of what Kurt Sutter said to some unknown source. I thought this website had actually Q&A’d the creater of SOA. :/

    Hi,

The source is TVLine and the link is at the bottom of the page.

As a fan of Sons of Anarchy myself, I found it fascinating that Sutter already has an Endgame in mind and that Jax will always be the focal point.

I think the article let us know that Jax will survive at the end as well as Gemma. Geez such negativity on here. Loved the Sopranos’ but the finale sucked. Doug, how do you know it ended with the death of the main character. Worst finale ever!

  8. admin says:

Thanks Debra! I knew I wasn’t the only one!

  9. Lisa says:

Glad to hear that Jax will be around until the very end….I also agree with Admin & Debra…I too found the Soprano’s finale to be very underwhelming….after watching every ep they left us hanging at the last moment….terrible! Pretty much the worst finale EVER! Best one I’ve experienced was 6ft Under….it showed the “endings” of all the main characters :)

  10. Jane says:

I hate to think of the end but I hope Opie (Ryan Hurst) doesn’t get killed off!!

  11. admin says:

    Me either, Jane!
