That’s right – The Entourage movie could soon be on the way! Check it out!
Entourage was a TV show centred around a Hollywood actor and explores his friends, his family, his extensive love life and his outlandish Hollywood career.
The show came to an end in 2011 leaving a lot of things very definitely up in the air and now it seems, we may get a bit more of the conclusion we were hoping for.
That’s right, it seems that series creator Doug Ellin has confirmed that the screenplay for the movie has been completed – exactly a year after the series finale aired.
The movie will take place 6 months after the show ended. “There are interesting developments about Ari as a studio head, and that’s still the first page for me. But foremost is the friendship between the guys who are still hanging out and going to fun parties, and it continues with the same characters.”
But hold on and calm yourselves down. Nothing is set in stone yet. HBO execs Richard Plepler and Michael Lombardo have cautioned publicly that they’ve only heard “a very general pitch” and would prefer to see the completed script and ensure that all the cast will return before comitting to anything. But Ellin is optimistic. “I’m excited. I feel a lot of positive energy. Everywhere I go, people ask me, ‘Where’s the movie?’”
Cool huh? What do you think? Do you want to see this movie made? What do you think Ellin will have in store for the boys? Let me know in the comments section below – it’d be awesome to hear your opinion!
