Marvel Sets Release Date for Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man!

Back at San Diego Comic-Con, Edgar Wright revealed test footage of the Ant-Man project for the first time. It’s a project which he holds very close to his heart and he hoped the test footage would force the hand of the Marvel/Disney execs into commissioning a movie.

Wright had been working on the project with Attack the Block writer/director Joe Cornish since 2005 and desperately wanted the movie to be picked up.

Dream Comes True

His gambit worked and on 30th July 2012, a shooting schedule and rough release date for the movie was released. It held the promise of production to beging right after Thor 2 had wrapped, with the suggestion of it being added to Marvel’s 2014 release schedule.

Today, the release date for the movie has been confirmed. Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man will hit the cinema’s nationwide (possibly worldwide) on 6th November 2015.
