Sin City 2 Begins Shooting Today, Casting Updates are Revealed

That’s right – Sin City 2 begins shooting today and further cast updates have been revealed! Find out more right here!

Fans of Sin City have been waiting for a sequel for quite some time. Too long, if you ask me. I was a major fan of the first movie. It blew me away. Robert Rodriquez’ interpretation of Frank Millar’s iconic graphic novel’s was perfect – simply perfect – and I can’t wait for the second instalment of the movie.

The sequel began shooting in Austin this morning and it has been confirmed that Jaime King will return to her role as Wendy (Goldie’s Sister) and Jamie Chung will replace Devon Aoki as Miho. Also returning will be Mickey Rourke as Marv, Jessica Alba as Nancy Callahan, Clive Owen as Dwight and Rosario Dawson as Gail.

The sequel will feature both material from Frank Miller’s graphic novels and material Miller wrote specifically for the movie – whether that’s a good thing or bad remains to be seen, but I’ll be interested to see what the final result is regardless. The existing story from the original material is expected to be an adapted version of A Dame to Kill for, which finds Dwight entangled in a complicated and deadly relationship with a femme fatale named Ava – a role Angelina Jolie was earmarked for, but currently remains uncast.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to this movie? Let me know in the comments below – it’d be awesome to hear your opinions!
