Joss Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. show adds more agents!

That’s right – production on Joss Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. has ramped up this month with the show casting a further two agents to its roster! Check it out!

Production Begins

Last month, news regarding the show started coming our way thick and fast. First, it was confirmed that Agent Coulson would indeed take the lead role in the show, despite being killed in the Avengers movie, then the first agent was cast in the form Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda Mae and earlier this month it was confirmed that the shoot would begin shooting this January for a prospective fall air date.

Now, the cast has grown by two, with reports coming in that British actors Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker have been cast as agents.

Elizabeth Henstridge will play Agent Gemma Simmons a science whizz, while De Caestecker playing Agent Leo Fitz, a technology guru. It’s thought the two Agents are respected field agents despite their age and will spend most of their time together bickering.

Cool, huh?
