J.J. Abrams Says Star Wars Will Start Production in Early 2014!

JJ Abrams says Star Wars will start production in early 2014

During “The Produced by Conference 2013″ Star Wars director J.J. Abrams has confirmed that production on the new Star Wars movie will begin in early 2014.

I can’t wait.

The topic was brought up on Saturday night, during a conversation with Django Unchained producer Reginald Hudlin in the 5th annual producers event.

“I think that the thing is so big and so massive to so many people that the key to moving forward is honoring but not revering what went before,” Abrams told the crowd.

And he already has the experience with the Star Trek franchise, so we know he can back up that statement.

In regards to a production schedule, Abrams added, “Most likely we are going to be moving to London at the end of the year for the Star Wars movie.” This of course has the implication that production will start around this time, or more likely early 2014.

Awesome, right?

That is wonderful! Recently watched the most recent one in Imax3D and I was blown away. The music was also quite amazing. J.J Abrams has truly lived up to the Star Trek legacy and I can’t wait to see what this new chapter will bring!
