When it comes to animated Superhero movies, Warner Bros and DC really knock it out of the park. They are truly awesome.

The next DC/Warner Animated Movie to be released will be Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox , which is of course based on the Flashpoint Comic Book event from 2011 and the trailer for whcih can be seen below.

Looks awesome, right? Well DC and Warner Bros aren’t stopping there.

Justice League: War

Today, the first animated movie in 2014 was confirmed to be called Justice League: War and is scheduled to be be based upon the Geoff Johns and Jim Lee’s first story arc for “The New 52 Line” Justice League, Vol. 1: Origin.

This is a little synopsis from the comic book story arc:

In a world where inexperienced superheroes operate under a cloud of suspicion from the public, loner vigilante Batman has stumbled upon a dark evil that threatens to destroy the earth as we know it. Now, faced with a threat far beyond anything he can handle on his own, the Dark Knight must trust an alien, a scarlet speedster, an accidental teenage hero, a space cop, an Amazon Princess and an undersea monarch. Will this combination of Superman, The Flash, Cyborg, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Aquaman be able to put aside their differences and come together to save the world? Or will they destroy each other first?

Pretty cool, huh?

But wait, there’s more – a number of actors have alreayd been cast in the leading roles.
Jason O’Mara (Terra Nova) will Voice Batman, Michelle Monaghan (Source Code) is voicing Wonder Woman, Christopher Gorham (Ugly Betty) is The Flash, Alan Tudyk (Firefly) will portray Superman, Justin Kirk (Angles In America) is Green Lantern, and Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds) will voice Cyborg.

I’m not especially hyped over the cast for this one, but I will say that I think Alan Tudyk will be a pretty good Superman.

What do you think?

Are you hyped over the new animated movie? Do you think the story arc is strong enough to warrant a stand-alone animated movie? If not, which arc would you have chosen? What do you think of the casting choices?

Let me know what you think in the comments below – it’ll be awesome to hear your opinion on the matter!
